Hi! I'm Sunny. I love encouraging students to use their creativity to honor the Lord, to bless others, and to have fun while learning from the world’s greatest artists. Over the last 23 years, I have been teaching and developing Art Through the Centuries.
Dan and I began homeschooling in 1993, so I understand the need to find materials for our kids that are excellent and easy to use. I’ve had many people ask me if I can teach their children remotely. It wasn’t until spring of 2020, when the pandemic forced our co-op to go online, that we learned how to produce quality video lessons.
Since then, I have been working on a self-paced class with 17 chronological lessons and 3 free lessons that mirror what we do in our co-op in Charlottesville, Virginia. I weave three themes: art instruction, a walk through art history, and a Biblical worldview.
Art Through the Centuries will give your child a variety of art experiences such as drawing, painting, and sculpture. They will “meet” a famous artist during each video lesson and will enjoy projects sparked by the artist’s technique, style, medium, or subject matter.
This class isn’t only for homeschoolers. It is great and easy to use as a fun after-school or summer activity.
